Beginning with FS96
all currently enrolled students
will be assigned a SHOWME ID automatically.
Student User ID's are the letter "c" followed by the student ID
number
Example: c123456
Student password's are the student's month of birth, day of birth, followed
by the student's 4 digit MU PIN number.
Example: 01019999
On August 19th (two days before the Fall Semester starts) Campus Computing
will run a process on SHOWME that will add a SHOWME ID for each currently
enrolled student (All FS96 fees must be paid before a student is considered
"officially enrolled"). The script will be run every night through
August 27th, which is the last day a class can be added.
Points to keep in mind:
1. How often will the ID process run?
A major point to keep in mind is that the creation process will run nightly.
Since an id can't be added unless a student has enrolled and made arrangement
for fee payment. If someone registers on a Monday, then waits until Thursday
to pay fees, then they won't have an id until Friday.
2. Students who will probably need ID added manually at the Help Desk
Anyone with non-standard agreements for fee payment (some International
students, and some students on Fellowship) may also need to come to the
Help Desk.
3. If a student pays fees and wants the id added the same day
Also, if someone registers AND pays fees, and desperately needs their id
the next day, the Help Desk will add the ID if the student brings their
Cashiers Receipt (stamped paid) and student ID card to the Help Desk
4. If the Help Desk has manually added an ID, there will still be some
delays
It takes anywhere from 6-24 hours for an id to process through the system.
The busier Showme is, the longer the process takes. The Help Desk has
limited control over the creation script, and can't process id's any faster.
5. Continuous enrollment or "exam only" status
Students who are continuously enrolled, or "exam only"do not pay
regularfees and are not entitled to a User ID. They have 2 choices: their
department can approve a staff id (Showme Faculty/Staff form must be completed)
or the student must enroll in at least 1 credit hour of research or course
work.
6. ID format
Student User ID's are the letter "c" followed by the student ID
number
Example: c123456
Student password's are the student's month of birth, day of birth, followed
by the student's 4 digit MU PIN number.
Example: 01019999
7. Existing User ID's
If a student has already used their ID, their password will not be changed.
If a student can't remember their current password, they need to visit the
HelpDesk, located in Room 23 Heinkel to have their password reset. The
reset process takes approximately 4 hours.
